So maybe my childhood influenced how I feel about feelings. Depending on how much and how little I value them. I grew up with a vague sense that the pounding crash of emotions held tightly against your breastbone is probably the only thing keeping your heart beating, and to release them is to surrender your last breath and expire. Forget about going to a therapist and letting it all out, I am more afraid that I will just kill someone if I ever release all that stored up energy. I will not dare let myself go. Maybe if you were weak and wounded, you had to let go, but no one in their right mind would actually want to do something so... dangerous and so... irresponsible.
How am I feeling? ...Well... Wouldn't you like to know...?
